Darius Henderson has joined Leyton Orient's lengthy list of absentees for the visit of Preston.

Striker Henderson was sent off as the O's slumped to a 3-0 defeat at Port Vale on Saturday and starts a three-match ban.

Also missing will be the injured Romain Vincelot, Gary Sawyer (both knee), Kevin Lisbie (shoulder), David Mooney (ankle), Adam Legzdins (finger) and Lloyd James (broken leg), while loanee Jack Price has gone back to Wolves with an ankle injury.

The match will be Mauro Milanese's first in charge after the former QPR defender switched roles from sporting director to become the club's new manager, with interim boss Kevin Nugent reverting to coach.

Kevin Davies will be hoping for a first League One start of the season for Preston after impressing as a half-time substitute in Saturday's 3-2 win against Fleetwood.

The veteran striker and midfielder Jon Welsh came off the bench at the break to help turn things around as North End rallied from 2-0 down to claim a seventh straight victory in all competitions.

Tom Clarke could be back in contention after again missing that game through illness, but Bailey Wright is still out with a groin problem.

Simon Grayson will also assess his options at right-back, with left-footed Scott Laird standing in for injured pair Calum Woods and Scott Wiseman before being replaced by midfielder Chris Humphrey.
