Dunfermline 1 : 2 Greenock Morton - Mor the merrier
Posted Sunday, October 26, 2014 by PA
Morton produced a late show as they came from behind to beat second-placed Dunfermline 2-1.
Dunfermline began brightly but Morton had the first real chance, Andrew Barrowman unable to force home Declan McManus' cutback from close range.
Faissal El Bakhtaoui responded for the Pars by firing a 20-yard effort over and Mark Russell had a good shot saved at the other end as the Ton threatened once more.
Dunfermline broke the deadlock seven minutes into the second half through El Bakhtaoui's six-yard finish after Morton failed to clear their lines.
Thomas O'Ware's powerful header got the visitors back on level terms in the 79th minute and McManus' right-footed shot found the bottom corner two minutes into stoppage time to win it for Morton, who move up to third.
