Ayr Utd. 0 : 2 Brechin City - More home woe for Ayr

Posted Sunday, October 26, 2014 by PA

Ayr's miserable home run continued as they went down 2-0 to Brechin.

The visitors, on the back of consecutive losses themselves, took the lead early on when Rob Thomson fired home into the bottom right corner from inside the box for his third goal in four games.

Kyle McAusland doubled the lead after 25 minutes when he found the top corner after being slid through by Andrew Jackson in a dominant first-half display.

The home side improved after the break but missed a number of chances through Kevin McKinlay and Scott McLaughlin and could not pull a goal back as Brechin held on.

Ayr have now suffered four consecutive home losses but remain third while Brechin have moved up to fifth in the table.
