Falkirk vs Cowdenbeath preview - Bairns without Tudur-Jones

Falkirk look to get back to winning ways after a defeat and a draw when Cowdenbeath visit.

But they will have to do it without Owain Tudur-Jones, who drops out of manager Peter Houston's plans after knee surgery.

Kieran Duffie and Thomas Grant, who have been out for a lengthy amount of time, are closing in on a space in Houston's squad after featuring in a midweek under-20 development game.

Technical director Alex Smith said: "We were disappointing against Queen of the South but much better against Livingston but could not force a goal. Cowdenbeath came here in the League Cup and we could not break them down.

"I am hoping that we can start converting chances into goals in this game."

Cowdenbeath midfielder Lewis Milne is back in full training but unlikely to start against the Bairns.

Manager Jimmy Nicholl looks set to keep faith with the players that have secured seven points from the last nine.

Skipper John Armstrong is out with an ankle problem, with Kenny Adamson (foot) and Sammy Stewart (groin) remaining absent as well.

Nicholl said: "Our recent run has lifted us off bottom spot and everyone has enjoyed that.

"However, we know that we are only one bad performance away from going back there so we need to keep doing what we have been doing starting against Falkirk."
