Stevenage Borough vs Burton Albion FC preview - Parrett not too chirpy

Stevenage could be without Dean Parrett against Burton.

Parrett has sustained a hip injury and the midfielder is a doubt for Saturday's match.

Left-back Jerome Okimo is closing in on a starting spot as he builds up match fitness following a hamstring injury, while Simon Walton is making rapid progress with his hamstring problem and returned to training this week.

Adam Marriott is due to resume training next week after a long-term injury but fellow striker Calvin Zola is set to be sidelined for the next six weeks with an ankle injury he sustained in training as he recovered from a hamstring problem which has kept him out since September, meaning he will miss the visit of his former club.

Burton travel to Hertfordshire beset by injury and suspension worries.

George Taft suffered a torn hamstring during the 4-3 win at Carlisle on Tuesday night. His injury comes after John Mousinho tore a calf muscle in the warm-up before last weekend's game with Morecambe, while Callum McFadzean suffered a broken foot against Cambridge at the beginning of the month.

As well as the injured trio, there will be no Stuart Beavon or Alex MacDonald on Saturday. Beavon was sent off in the dying minutes at Carlisle and MacDonald received his fifth yellow card of the season at Brunton Park. Both players will serve a one-match suspension against Boro.

Darragh Lenihan joined Burton on loan at the start of the week and the Blackburn youngster, who can play in either defence or midfield, could make his debut.
