Shrewsbury Town vs Portsmouth preview - Mellon to stick with same side

Shrewsbury boss Micky Mellon could be tempted to name an unchanged line-up for the visit of Portsmouth.

They thumped Bury 5-0 on Tuesday as the club gears up for Tuesday's Capital One Cup visit of Barclays Premier League leaders Chelsea.

Striker Andy Mangan is fighting to be fit after picking up a knee injury at York last week and missing the win over the Shakers.

Captain Liam Lawrence also sat out but has recovered from injury.

Pompey have no new injury worries following the 3-2 victory over Stevenage in midweek.

Boss Andy Awford usually rotates his squad but he may also consider sticking with the side which secured a first win in seven matches.

Centre-halves Jack Whatmough (hamstring) and Adam Webster (knee) are set to miss out again along with long-term injury-victims Tom Craddock, Wes Fogden (both knee) and Danny East (ankle).

Striker Michael Drennan was not in the squad on Tuesday night and has since returned to Aston Villa at the end of his one-month loan spell.
