Nottingham Forest vs Blackburn preview - No new worries for Reds

Nottingham Forest have no fresh injury problems for the visit of Blackburn but Reds boss Stuart Pearce faces a decision over the returning Henri Lansbury.

Lansbury missed the draw against Watford as he served a one-match suspension. Pearce must decide whether the 24-year-old goes straight back into the team or if he sticks with the midfield that started at Vicarage Road on Tuesday night.

Danny Fox was in contention for a starting place in midweek, but it would have been a risk as he had only trained for two days following a hamstring problem. The full-back will be pushing harder for a recall at the weekend, though.

The game looks like coming too soon for midfielder Andy Reid, while Jack Hobbs (ankle) also remains unavailable.

Blackburn captain Grant Hanley looks set to make his return at the heart of Rovers' defence.

The centre-back has not played since before the international break after picking up an ankle problem with Scotland, yet he trained on Thursday to increase his chances of selection at the City Ground.

Gary Bowyer will also have Matt Kilgallon back from his one-match suspension but Jason Lowe (foot), Chis Brown (knee) and Tommy Spurr (groin) remain sidelined.

Striker Luke Varney is also expected to declare his fitness despite sustaining a minor ankle sprain in midweek.
