Oldham vs Bradford preview - Elokobi misses out again
Posted Friday, October 24, 2014 by PA
Oldham will once again be without central defender George Elokobi as they bid to increase their unbeaten run to 13 games against Bradford at SportsDirect.com Park.
Elokobi had hoped to be back from his thigh problem this week but manager Lee Johnson revealed he had suffered a setback in his rehabilitation.
Club captain Adam Lockwood (foot) is also still missing but Brian Wilson, who missed the 4-1 win over Coventry due to a knock, will be welcomed back.
In-form striker Jonathan Forte has a persistent knee problem which is constantly being monitored but, after a brace against the Sky Blues, Johnson was able to withdraw him after 72 minutes.
Bradford skipper Stephen Darby returns to contention after missing the midweek draw at Bristol City due to a one-game ban for reaching five yellow cards.
But the Bantams could be without fellow defender Andrew Davies, who was forced out on Tuesday night after a recurrence of his calf injury, so Alan Sheehan is also in contention to start.
Striker James Hanson began on the bench in midweek as he continues to nurse his way back from a thigh injury, but could return to the starting XI, while loan signings Jon Stead and Andy Halliday will be hoping to keep their places.
Forward Aaron Mclean, plus midfielders Billy Knott and Matty Dolan are among those pushing for recalls.
