Goals from Guillaume Hoarau and Leonardo Bertone lifted Young Boys past Napoli and to a second win in Europa League Group I on Thursday.
French striker Hoarau made no mistake for the Swiss team seven minutes into the second half in Bern.
Substitute Bertone killed any hopes of a Napoli comeback two minutes into stoppage-time as he made it 2-0 and Young Boys continued their impressive European form at home.
The home side won for the sixth time at the Stade de Suisse in the competition while condemning Napoli to a first defeat.
Young Boys and Napoli are now level on six points after three games with the Italian side winning their opening two matches.
Napoli coach Rafa Benitez made eight changes to the starting XI that featured in a 2-2 draw against Inter Milan on Sunday.
Spanish striker Michu played in support of Duvan Zapata in Napoli's attack.
Zapata was first to test Yvon Mvogo in the 13th minute with a 30-yard strike, but the Young Boys goalkeeper kept the shot out.
The hosts could have gone in front a minute later but Hoarau's powerful header from Raphael Nuzzolo's cross went wide.
Napoli put a good move together in the 20th minute as Christian Maggio fed Jonathan de Guzman in the box but his right-footed strike from 13 yards was saved by Mvogo.
Before the half-hour mark, Napoli goalkeeper Rafael was called on to make his first intervention as he saved Hoarau's header.
The visitors twice had the chance to break the deadlock before half-time but Mvogo kept out De Guzman's close-range effort and parried away Dries Mertens' hard drive .
The home side went in front in the 52nd minute when Yuya Kubo set up Hoarau in the box and he struck the ball from the heart of the area just inside the far post and out of Rafael's reach.
Benitez brought on Marek Hamsik in place of Michu in the 62nd minute and the Slovakian almost pulled Napoli level but headed Mertens' cross over the bar.
The visitors continued to surge forward and with six minutes remaining, Argentinian striker Gonzalo Higuain entered the pitch.
Napoli failed to find the equaliser and Bertone sealed the victory when he scored on a counter-attack.
The Swiss midfielder latched onto Renato Steffen's pass and slotted the ball in.
