Barnsley 2 : 3 Notts County - Tykes downed by Petrasso brace

Michael Petrasso struck a second-half brace as Notts County fought back from two goals down to win 3-2 at Barnsley, extending their unbeaten run to 10 games.

Goals from Devante Cole and Conor Hourihane early in the game put the hosts in control. But Garry Thompson then pulled a goal back before Petrasso's double completed an impressive comeback.

Cole gave the home side an eighth-minute lead after Hourihane's ball found him in space on the left-hand side of the area.

The roles were reversed four minutes later when Cole side-stepped goalkeeper Roy Carroll before squaring to Hourihane who scored with ease.

Thompson pulled a goal back for County moments later, though, when he beat keeper Ross Turnbull with a fine long-range effort after the ball dropped invitingly for him.

Ryan Williams went close to restoring Barnsley's two-goal advantage before the break with a low shot which struck a post.

Petrasso met Thompson's cross with a close-range header to equalise just after the hour mark and he then scored a 71st-minute winner after finding a way through the home defence.
