Oldham vs Coventry preview - Elokobi could make Latics return

Oldham hope to welcome George Elokobi back into their squad for Coventry's visit to SportsDirect.com Park.

The central defender has missed four games with a thigh injury but is due to return to full training on Monday.

Club captain Adam Lockwood, yet to play this year because of a foot injury, is also expected to be back among the main group this week, although his recovery process is expected to take longer.

Top scorer Jonathan Forte played the full 90 minutes of Saturday's 1-1 draw with Chesterfield, which extended Latics' unbeaten streak to 11 games, and two games in four days may test his troublesome knee problem.

Coventry could welcome back John Fleck after he recovered from a knee injury.

Danny Pugh is struggling with an ankle injury but Reda Johnson (groin) and Frank Nouble (hip) are closing in on a return and were expected to train ahead of the game.

Shaun Miller and James Maddison are pushing to start after the Sky Blues lost 3-1 at home to leaders Bristol City on Saturday.

Boss Steven Pressley told the Coventry Telegraph: "When you're not winning games and you get in the team you've got to grab the jersey."
