Ibrahimovic still out for PSG

Laurent Blanc will again be without star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic for Paris St Germain's Champions League Group F match against APOEL on Tuesday night.

The 33-year-old has been sidelined since sustaining a heel injury a month ago and coach Blanc has not named the Sweden international in his 21-man squad for the trip to the GSP Stadium.

Blanc told his official website www.psg.fr: "His injury is coming along well, but not enough for him to play. He couldn't play for his national team.

"Since he's been back (from international duty), he has improved, but he can't train with the rest of the squad just yet. I hope he will be back as soon as possible."

The French champions, who are buoyed by Friday's 3-1 comeback win at Lens, are currently leading Group F following their 3-2 victory over Barcelona at the Parc des Princes last month.

Goals from David Luiz, Marco Verratti and Blaise Matuidi saw PSG take the spoils in Paris - while Barca responded with goals from Lionel Messi and Neymar - to move one point clear of the Catalan giants at the top of the standings.

Captain Thiago Silva has been named in Blanc's squad after he returned to training last week but did not feature at Lens after sitting out the majority of the season with a thigh injury.

Another Brazilian David Luiz, who returned from international duty with an injury last week, also features on Blanc's squad list after sitting out the match at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis.

On Thiago Silva's return, Blanc added: "His injury took time to heal. We are happy he's back with the squad, but he mustn't rush things.

"We have to have a long hard think about it because we have a number of absentees in central defence."

Opponents APOEL sit bottom of the table following a poor start to their Champions League campaign and coach Giorgos Donis will be hoping his side can get something from this home match before the reverse fixture in Paris on November 5.

APOEL recorded a 1-1 draw at home to Ajax last time out after young winger Lucas Andersen put the Dutch champions in front in Nicosia, yet Frank de Boer's men were soon pegged back by a Gustavo Manduca penalty.

While in their Group F opener, Donis' men could count themselves unlucky to come away from the Nou Camp with just a 1-0 defeat to Barcelona after Gerard Pique's first-half header was all that separated the two sides.

The Cypriot champions are currently enjoying an undefeated start to the league season as they sit top of the standings with five wins from six and on the back of a 2-1 victory over Othellos last time out as they top the form guide.

Sidelined for the home side is defender Tasos Papazoglou (stomach) and midfielder Stathis Aloneftis (back).
