Lazio climbed further up the Serie A table with their third win in a row, a 2-0 triumph at Fiorentina on Sunday.

Filip Djordjevic and Senad Lulic scored the goals for the Biancocelesti to lift them three points clear of their hosts and into the hunt for the European places.

Lazio had the better of the first half, taking the lead with Djordjevic's fifth goal of the season, but Fiorentina had chances to level in the second half before Lulic scored on the break to seal his side's win.

After an even opening, Khouma Babacar flicked a header over from Marco Alonso's headed cross after David Pizarro's deep ball came back across goal.

Within a minute, Lazio took the lead with their first real attack, Djordjevic netting his fifth goal in three games, turning in Antonio Candreva's cross from five yards out.

Djordjevic could have scored a second, but he instead chose to play in Antonio Candreva, whose angled shot was saved by Neto.

That sparked Fiorentina into action and Pizarro chipped a training ground free-kick over the top of the Lazio wall before Alberto Aquilani's overhead kick hit the inside of the post.

Marcos Alonso shot over from 10 yards after Borja Valero puled ball back across goal for him and the full-back then saw another shot blocked by Babacar as Vincenzo Montella's men threw everybody forward.

This left them susceptible at the back and, heading into eight minutes of stoppage time, Candreva and Ogenyi Onazi both raced clear, but the former's pass did not find its way across to his team-mate, who would have had an open goal to aim at.

It was a let-off for Fiorentina but not one they learned from as, minutes later, Candreva again broke, this time feeding his ball to Lulic to tuck in from a few yards out to seal the points.
