Brechin 1 : 2 Stranraer - A Winter's tale for Stranraer
Posted Sunday, October 19, 2014 by PA
A second-half winner from Sean Winter maintained Stranraer's unbeaten run after securing a 2-1 victory over Brechin.
The Blues are now unbeaten in four and moved above their opponents in the league table thanks to goals from Winter and Frank McKeown.
Robert Thomson had drawn the home side level, but they slipped to a fourth defeat in five games after Winter's strike.
Stranraer took the lead shortly before the half-hour mark when McKeown headed in from Jackson Longridge's corner but after William Gibson hit the post, they were pegged back when Thomson slotted home eight minutes later.
Winter immediately hit the post at the other end before he finally headed home from Chris Aitken's cross with 15 minutes to go.
