Stirling 0 : 4 Stenhousemuir - Four-star Stenny beat Sterling

Posted Sunday, October 19, 2014 by PA

Life worsened for bottom-of-the-table Stirling as they crashed 4-0 at home to second-from-bottom Stenhousemuir.

Kristopher Faulds opened the scoring early on from a Colin McMenamin pass, but Stirling battled back well in the first half to remain within a goal of their opponents.

The floodgates opened five minutes after the restart when Gary Oliver was allowed too much space to run into the box and his shot sneaked under Callum Reidford.

Oliver then stole the ball from the feet of the hapless goalkeeper to make it 3-0 on the hour mark.

Willie Robertson was dismissed for a ludicrous headbutt on Colin McMenamin as the the Binos caved in to the defeat, and Tom Walsh netted from an acute angle following a fast break, latching on to a clever Oliver pass.
