Ipswich vs Blackburn preview - Town to monitor duo
Posted Friday, October 17, 2014 by PA
Ipswich will monitor the fitness of Daryl Murphy and Jonny Williams ahead of their Sky Bet Championship encounter against Blackburn at Portman Road.
Murphy, who has netted six goals this season, missed the Republic of Ireland's 1-1 draw against world champions Germany on Wednesday with a sore Achilles.
Williams, meanwhile, hurt his ankle and calf during Wales' goalless Euro 2016 qualifier against Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Frank Nouble (Coventry) and Freddie Veseli (Port Vale) are still sidelined with groin and rib injuries respectively.
Blackburn are still beset by injury problems, despite having two weeks without a game.
Scotland defender Grant Hanley (ankle) and Norway winger Josh King picked up problems while away with their respective countries to add to the concerns facing Gary Bowyer's side ahead of the trip.
Utility-man Jason Lowe has a foot injury while neither Chris Brown (knee) or Tommy Spurr (groin) have appeared so far this term.
On a brighter note, Corry Evans is back from suspension, David Dunn (knee) returns from injury, Tom Cairney appears fully over his groin problem and Rudy Gestede (hamstring), Paul Robinson (knee) and Alex Baptiste (calf) have all returned to training.
