Bury vs Portsmouth preview - Flitcroft wants Bury response

David Flitcroft will look for a response from his Bury players when Portsmouth visit the JD Stadium.

The Shakers surrendered top spot by losing their second straight away game at AFC Wimbledon last time out, but Flitcroft has plenty of options at his disposal should he decide to shake things up.

Only defender Keil O'Brien (knee) is sidelined for the high-fliers after midfielder James Poole played 90 minutes in a Manchester Senior Cup tie in midweek.

Danny Rose, Duane Holmes and Chris Hussey will be among those hoping Flitcroft decides to shuffle his pack.

Portsmouth skipper Ben Chorley could be added to the squad which travels north.

The defender has missed Pompey's last nine games due to a calf injury but is back in training and may be handed a place on the bench.

However, fellow centre-halves Jack Whatmough (hamstring) and Adam Webster (knee) remain sidelined along with long-term injury-victims Tom Craddock, Wes Fogden (both knee) and Danny East (ankle).

Boss Andy Awford will tinker with his side again following a fourth straight league draw, 1-1 against Mansfield last weekend, with Patrick Agyemang, Nigel Atangana and Ricky Holmes among those pushing for recalls.
