Burton vs Morecambe preview - Cansdell-Sherriff set to return
Posted Friday, October 17, 2014 by PA
Burton will have Shane Cansdell-Sherriff back in contention when Morecambe visit the Pirelli Stadium.
The defender has recovered from a bout of illness, meaning Brewers boss Gary Rowett must decide whether to continue with John Mousinho at centre-half or revert him back to his usual midfield berth and restore Cansdell-Sherriff to the team.
Stuart Beavon (groin) remains a concern. The striker has not been able to train this week but he will face a late fitness test.
Damien McCrory and Lee Bell should keep their places in the squad after working their way back to near full fitness, but Jimmy Phillips (knee) and Callum McFadzean (foot) remain long-term absentees.
Morecambe learned this week that Jamie Devitt would be available, despite his red card against Wycombe last weekend.
The midfielder was successful in his bid to overturn the three-game suspension he picked up for an off-the-ball clash with Peter Murphy.
On-loan Bury full-back Joe Widdowson is available to manager Jim Bentley again after returning to training this week from a knock.
However, defender Laurence Wilson (knee) will not be back until next week at the earliest, Stewart Drummond (groin) has not trained all week and fellow midfielder Alex Kenyon (calf) picked up a problem in a reserve game.
