Coventry vs Bristol City preview - Fleck out for Coventry

Coventry are set to be without midfielder John Fleck for Saturday's home clash with League One table toppers Bristol City due to a groin strain.

The 23-year-old Scot has been struggling with the problem for the last month and it flared up again after last week's loss at Crewe.

Captain Reda Johnson (groin) and striker Frank Nouble (hip) are also major doubts, while Jack Finch is suspended after being sent off against the Alex.

Seb Hines is another concern after he sustained a knee injury at Crewe and Danny Swanson remains a long-term absentee.

Bristol City will assess the fitness of Korey Smith before they make the trip.

The summer signing damaged a hamstring in the first half of their 3-2 win over Chesterfield on Saturday and boss Steve Cotterill admitted he is unsure whether the former Oldham man will be available to travel.

If he does miss out then it could mean a rare league start for Wes Burns who stepped off the bench to fire home the winner against the Spireites.

City make the trip having gone unbeaten in their opening 12 games, their best start to any season since 1954.
