Stirling Albion 0 : 2 Dunfermline - Pars leave it late
Posted Sunday, October 05, 2014 by PA
Two goals in the last 10 minutes from Shaun Byrne and Faissal El Bakhtaoui gave Dunfermline a 2-0 victory away at struggling Stirling.
The strikes were just reward for the Pars' second-half dominance, after Albion had held their own in a first half of few clear-cut chances.
Gozie Ugwu wasted the best chance of the game in the second half when he headed over as Dunfermline searched for a fifth win in six league games.
But they had to wait until the 80th minute for Byrne to finally put them in the lead with a low strike from the right-hand side of the area.
Stirling's Craig Wedderburn then saw red for two bookable offences, before substitute El Bakhtaoui hammered home from inside the area deep into stoppage time to seal the points.
