Wycombe Wanderers 1 : 1 Northampton - Holloway rescues point for Wycombe

Substitute Aaron Holloway's dramatic injury-time header earned Wycombe a 1-1 draw against Northampton at Adams Park after Ryan Cresswell had given the visitors a first-half lead.

Holloway's first goal for the club came in the eighth minute of second-half stoppage time and ensured Wycombe go eight games unbeaten as Northampton faltered after losing Gregor Robertson to a late red card.

The Chairboys would have gone top of League Two with a win but Northampton started brighter with Lawson D'Ath heading over after meeting Chris Hackett's cross just ten yards out.

The away fans didn't have to wait long though, as Cresswell climbed highest to meet Joel Byrom's delivery and power past the helpless Matt Ingram.

The home side came out of half time with more intent but Northampton were holding on until Robertson received a second yellow card for time-wasting, despite claiming to be waiting for a substitution to take place.

And Holloway met Joe Jacobson's last-gasp corner to send the home fans happy and keep his side in second spot and with just one defeat all season.
