Hibernian FC vs Raith Rovers preview - Gray hopes to boost Hibs

David Gray could make Hibernian's Scottish Championship clash with Raith at Easter Road.

Head coach Alan Stubbs said the right-back was "touch and go" after coming off against Rangers on Monday with a hamstring strain, not long after scoring Hibs' second goal in a 3-1 win.

Stubbs said: "We have had a great result on Monday but it's gone now and the most important thing and what we are focusing on is Raith Rovers.

"It's important we respond in the right way from Monday's great win.

"They have been very strong away from home, so that tells us everything we need to know about them. They have been hard to beat and have had a couple of convincing wins, so we really need to be on our game."

Raith defender Ross Perry returned to training this week after a knock but he may have to watch from the bench due to the form of player/coach Laurie Ellis.

Recent shoulder surgery keeps Kevin Cuthbert away from goalkeeping duty with Dougie Hill (groin), Craig Barr (knee) and Calum Elliot (foot) all missing as well.

Manager Grant Murray said: "We have kept clean sheets in our last two games and I would gladly settle for making that a hat-trick in this game. Hibs had a great result at Ibrox and it came through a great performance so we have to play very well to win."
