Stevenage will be without Simon Walton when they welcome Luton to Broadhall Way.

The experienced midfidler missed last weekend's comfortable 3-0 win against Mansfield after picking up a hamstring strain and is expected to be sidelined for up to eight weeks.

Striker Adam Marriott and left-back Jerome Okimo have both been suffering with similar ailments of late and it remains to be seen whether they will be available for the weekend clash.

Veteran goalkeeper Chris Day will start in goal again, having kept two consecutive clean sheets, as first-choice stopper Sam Beasant continues his return to fitness.

Luton are still affected by a sickness bug that kept several players out of the 2-0 win over Oxford.

The Hatters have been down to the bare bones in recent weeks but members of the squad are returning to fitness. A host of senior players featured for the development squad on Tuesday, with striker Paul Benson (hamstring) and defender Andy Parry both playing 90 minutes and midfielders Alex Lawless, Jonathan Smith (groin) and Nathan Doyle all getting an hour under their belts.

It gives boss John Still options ahead of Saturday, with defender Curtley Williams also in contention after coming through training this week unscathed.

However, Luke Rooney, Paul Connolly and Fraser Franks are almost definitely unavailable, while Parry is two weeks short of a return to first-team contention as he builds up his match fitness.
