Norwich City vs Rotherham United preview - Lafferty back for Canaries
Posted Friday, October 03, 2014 by PA
Striker Kyle Lafferty should return to the Norwich squad for the Sky Bet Championship encounter with Rotherham at Carrow Road.
The Northern Ireland international missed the surprise 1-0 home defeat by Charlton on Tuesday night through sickness but trained on Thursday.
England Under-21 winger Nathan Redmond is nursing a tight hamstring but he is expected to be available for the final match before the international break.
Midfielder Jonny Howson is pushing for his first league start of the season after two substitute appearances in the previous two games.
Rotherham boss Steve Evans will again make changes to his side, this time enforced.
On-loan striker Luciano Becchio is ineligible to play against his parent club while Kirk Broadfoot rolled an ankle in Tuesday's impressive win over Blackburn.
Broadfoot will travel with the squad but is unlikely to feature at Carrow Road, with Craig Morgan - his replacement in midweek - coming back into the starting XI.
Midfielder Richie Smallwood is likely to be in the squad after a recent hamstring problem.
