Peterborough United vs Oldham Athletic AFC preview - Ntlhe blow for Posh

Peterborough defender Kgosi Ntlhe has been dealt another injury blow ahead of the visit of Oldham.

Scans have revealed that Ntlhe, who has only recently returned from a groin problem, suffered a torn hamstring against Fleetwood last weekend and the South African left-back faces around a month on the sidelines.

Jon Taylor is set for another scan on his troublesome knee. He has had an injection and could still feature at the weekend. However, fellow winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing has suffered a slight setback in his recovery from a thigh strain and remains out.

Some good news for Posh boss Darren Ferguson sees defender Michael Bostwick return to the squad after recovering from the calf strain that has kept him out for the last month.

Oldham will be without George Elokobi for the trip.

The former Wolves defender was forced off against Scunthorpe due to a thigh problem and boss Lee Johnson estimates he will spend a further 10 days on the sidelines.

Genseric Kusunga, who replaced Elokobi as a substitute last weekend, is expected to come in but he will miss two Latics games next week while he is on international duty so Timothee Dieng may be required to step up with Adam Lockwood (foot) still out.

Latics are on a seven-game unbeaten sequence so Johnson is unlikely to shake things up too much, but Danny Philliskirk will be at the forefront of the manager's thoughts after stepping off the bench to score twice last weekend.
