Dagenham and Redbridge 1 : 2 Exeter City - Grecians leave it late

Exeter scored four minutes into injury time to earn a deserved 2-1 win at Victoria Road after being dominated in the first half by Dagenham.

Jamie Cureton gave the hosts the lead in the 10th minute against his former club, when he turned his marker brilliantly with one touch before slotting into the roof of the net.

The Daggers forward should have made it two in the 21st minute later when Exeter's Danny Butterfield inexcusably passed straight to him, Cureton could only curl wide of the post with just Christy Pym to beat.

The visitors had their opportunities, though, and ended the half strongly with Brian Saah deflecting Alex Nicholls' shot onto the post in the second minute of added time before Liam Sercombe had an effort cleared off the line shortly after.

Exeter started the second half strongly but failed to create too much before they earned a penalty in the 79th minute when Nicholls was fouled by Matt Partridge inside the box.

Substitute Jimmy Keohane stepped up and sent the goalkeeper the wrong way before Arron Davies headed into the top corner in the fourth minute of added time to give the visitors all three points.
