It didn't take long for the Twittersphere to respond to the plane that the Manchester United fans chartered to fly over El Madrigal during the Villarreal-Real Madrid match begging Cristiano Ronaldo to "come home". There were a lot of memes exchanged, including one featuring a certain retired Scottish coach.

United Reel, a Red Devils fan club, coughed up some €3,800 for the plane stunt. Money well spent? We'll let you decide.
