"Come home Ronaldo"

Manchester United fans dream of Cristiano Ronaldo's return. Fans are so keen to see him back at Old Trafford that they rented an advertising aeroplane to fly over El Madrigal several times during Real Madrid's league game against Villarreal.

The aircraft carried a banner with the following message in huge black letters on a blue background that blended into the sky: "Come home Ronaldo".

A group of United fans called 'United Reel', whose name also appeared on the banner, paid almost €4,000 for the flyover.

This particular group of United fans, which has resorted to this kind of stunt before, announced a few weeks ago that they were accepting donations to rent the plane.
