Stranraer 2 : 0 Stirling Albion - Stranraer extend run

Stranraer stretched their unbeaten run to four matches as they beat Stirling 2-0 in Scottish League One.

Striker Jamie Longworth put the hosts in front with just three minutes on the clock after Stirling failed to deal with Sean Winter's cross.

Craig Malcolm went close to extending their lead midway through the first half but his header came back off the crossbar.

Stirling did have a second in the 25th minute after midfielder Stephen Stirling drilled a low shot into the corner from William Gibson's pass.

Goalkeeper David Mitchell had to be on hand to deny Stirling's Lewis Coult late on but that was as good as it got for the visitors.
