Stenhousemuir 2 : 1 Greenock Morton - Stenny rally against Morton

Posted Sunday, September 28, 2014 by PA

Stenhousemuir recorded an unlikely victory as they came from behind to beat high-flying Morton 2-1 in Scottish League One.

Morton went ahead after 31 minutes when Declan McManus poked in Sean Crighton's cross for his fifth goal of the season.

Their lead barely lasted a minute as midfielder Sean Dickson's square ball across the six-yard box allowed Martin Grehan to finish comfortably.

Stenhousemuir nudged themselves in front just after half-time when Dickson rose highest to nod in striker Gary Oliver's cross after 48 minutes.

McManus almost drew the visitors level when his shot hit the post late on but the Warriors hung on to claim their first win in six matches.
