Dagenham and Redbridge 2 : 0 York City - Labadie at the double for Daggers

Joss Labadie's double earned Dagenham a first league win at home since August 23 as they saw off York 2-0.

The Daggers went in ahead at the break after Labadie showed superb composure to curl in his first goal for the club in the 35th minute.

Andre Boucaud had started the move after chesting the ball down cooly in midfield, Ashley Chambers was released into space down the left before he cut back for Labadie to score the opening goal.

Luke Howell had toe-poked the hosts' best effort over the crossbar prior to that whilst York's Jake Hyde and Michael Coulson failed to test Mark Cousins from favourable situations before the opener.

York were unlucky not to be awarded a penalty a minute before the break when Jack Connors accidentally clipped Wes Fletcher inside the box but their appeals were waved on.

That decision would prove decisive as in the 62nd minute Daggers doubled their lead.

Again it was Chambers who was the provider as he curled in a free-kick from the left and Labadie nodded home for his and Daggers second and they held on for a third league win of the season.
