Livingston 0 : 1 Raith Rovers - Scott strike lifts Raith

Posted Sunday, September 21, 2014 by PA

Raith moved up to third place in the Scottish Championship with a 1-0 win at Livingston despite missing a second-half penalty.

The visitors went ahead in the 18th minute when midfielder Martin Scott finished from close range after being played through by Ryan Conroy.

David Robertson went close to an equaliser for Livingston before half-time but his shot from inside the penalty area flashed just wide.

Raith could have doubled their advantage just before the hour but Livingston goalkeeper Darren Jamieson pulled off a great save to keep out Calum Elliot's spot-kick.

Jamieson also expertly tipped over Mark Stewart's powerful drive late on but one goal proved enough for Raith.
