Rochdale made it back-to-back home wins with a 1-0 win against Coventry at Spotland.

Ian Henderson's first-half penalty separated the sides to make it two wins in a week for Keith Hil's men following their 4-0 thumping of Walsall in midweek.

After a quiet opening 20 minutes Coventry went close when Andrew Webster saw a header saved by Conrad Logan and Simeon Jackson fired narrowly over the top. The Sky Blues fashioned their best chance of the first half when Frank Nouble got in behind the Dale backline but his angled shot was saved by Logan.

Rochdale took the lead in the 29th minute when Ryan Allsop tripped Bastien Hery as the midfielder attempted to dribble the ball around him, referee Phillip Gibbs awarding a penalty and booking the Coventry keeper. Ian Henderson slammed home the spot kick for his fifth goal of the season.

Rochdale controlled the second period and almost doubled their lead when Henderson rounded Allsop and squared for Peter Vincenti only to see Jordan Clarke clear off the line.

Logan saved from Coventry sub Marcus Tudgay late on, but the home side were good value for the win.
