AFC Wimbledon vs Morecambe preview - Tubbs sits out Shrimps clash

AFC Wimbledon striker Matt Tubbs will miss the visit of Morecambe through suspension.

Tubbs scored his eighth goal of the season during Tuesday night's 3-0 win over Burton but was later sent off for a second yellow card and serves a one-match ban.

Defender Andy Frampton will be added to the squad for the first time this season after recovering from the broken ankle he suffered six weeks ago.

But Jack Smith is not yet ready to return from the knee injury he sustained in early August so 17-year-old Ben Harrison is set to continue at left-back.

Morecambe boss Jim Bentley made a number of changes for Tuesday's loss at Mansfield and could rotate his squad once more.

He told Shrimps Player: "It's a squad game. I think it's up to us to learn from last season when we flogged the lads because we had a small squad.

"There's not much between every position at the moment, so we're not making changes that are depleting the team, it's just giving lads who are fresh and champing at the bit to stake a claim the chance to shine."

Jack Redshaw was sidelined in midweek after suffering an injury in training, but Kevin Ellison and Paul Mullin could return to the starting line-up after coming off the bench and Alan Goodall should also be fresh following his rest.
