Fiorentina celebrated their first win of the campaign with a 3-0 triumph over 10-man Guingamp in the Europa League Group K opener for both sides on Thursday.
Juan Vargas put the home team on the way in the 34th minute and shortly after, visiting midfielder Mustapha Diallo was sent off after he picked up his second yellow card.
Juan Guillermo Cuadrado doubled the lead in the 67th minute before substitute Federico Bernardeschi made it 3-0 with two minutes remaining.
The French outfit did not test Fiorentina goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu until the 64th minute when Claudio Beauvue struck the ball on target from outside the area.
Tatarusanu kept the ball out to preserve his team's advantage.
The hosts, after failing to score in their opening two Serie A games, dominated possession and should have gone in front midway through the first half.
Cuadrado's long-range effort was kept out by Guingamp goalkeeper Mamadou Samassa.
Fiorentina continued to surge forward and their efforts paid off when Vargas headed Jasmin Kurtic's cross past a helpless Samassa.
Diallo was given his marching orders four minutes later after a late challenge on Fiorentina's David Pizarro earned him his second booking.
On the hour mark, Samassa kept out Pizarro's bullet strike from 30 yards before Tatarusanu made his first intervention of the evening to clear Beauvue's well-struck drive at the other end.
Fiorentina made it 2-0 soon after when Pizarro set up Cuadrado in the box and his right-footed shot towards the far post beat Samassa.
The Italians scored again before the final whistle when Bernardeschi found space and struck a left-footed effort from 30 yards past Samassa.
The two sides will also face Dinamo Minsk and PAOK in Group K.
