Bolton vs Rotherham preview - Lonergan to start for Bolton

Adam Bogdan's injury means Andy Lonergan will likely continue in goal for Bolton against Rotherham.

Hungarian Bogdan is facing two months on the sidelines because of a finger problem, adding to the mounting problems which Dougie Freedman is facing at Wanderers.

Without a Sky Bet Championship victory all season, Freedman is also missing Liam Trotter (hamstring), David Wheater (back) and Marc Tierney (broken leg), while Kevin McNaughton will bid to overcome illness.

Midfielder Medo Kamara, who was on international duty last week, may come into the side having been an unused substitute in the 0-0 draw with Sheffield Wednesday.

Rotherham will again be without Richard Wood for the clash as he recovers from a minor knee injury.

Conor Newton and John Swift sat out Saturday's trip to Bournemouth, but only as a precautionary measure for the former, while the latter was rested after featuring for England Under-20s during the international break.

Millers boss Steve Evans reports Rob Milsom is just a couple of weeks away from returning, while Mark Bradley is recovering well from a knee injury.

"We'll never forget as a football club how far we've come, so to go to Bolton with over 1,000 fans is incredible!" Evans told Millers Player.
