Charlton vs Wolves preview - Addicks' Icelandic star to miss out

Johann Berg Gudmundsson is set to miss out when Charlton go in search of a fourth straight home win against Wolves.

The midfielder started Saturday's 1-0 victory over Watford despite suffering a groin injury while on international duty with Iceland last week, but he lasted less than half an hour before having to be replaced.

Boss Bob Peeters also substituted skipper Johnnie Jackson and striker George Tucudean with both players tiring as the match wore on, so their fitness will be assessed.

Right-back Chris Solly is expected to drop out of the starting line-up as the club continue to manage his long-standing knee problem.

Wolves could welcome back Bakary Sako and Lee Evans after they started on the bench at Blackpool.

They played for Mali and Wales' Under-21s respectively and boss Kenny Jackett opted to give them a breather.

Jackett has a fully-fit squad to pick from with Wolves third in the Sky Bet Championship after the 0-0 draw with the Tangerines on Saturday.

He said: "Everyone is available from the weekend and back from international duty, we're in the very good position of selecting from a fully-fit first-team squad."
