Portsmouth vs Dagenham preview - Double doubt for Pompey

Posted Monday, September 15, 2014 by PA

Ryan Taylor and Jed Wallace are injury doubts for Portsmouth's home game against Dagenham.

Striker Taylor missed Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Southend - Pompey's third loss on the spin - with a groin problem and winger Wallace came off in the second half with a calf niggle.

Defender Jack Whatmough will be assessed after going down with cramp at the end of the game while midfield duo Nigel Atangana (hamstring) and Nick Awford (shoulder) also need fitness checks after missing out at Roots Hall.

Striker Patrick Agyemang could be handed his first start of the season having made three substitute appearances since recovering from a hamstring injury.

Dagenham boss Wayne Burnett is expected to make changes to his side following the 3-2 loss at home to Cambridge.

The Daggers manager was disappointed with his side's performance and hopes to have a few players available after injury, including defender Scott Doe.

Forward Rhys Murphy is out for a further three weeks at least after failing to come back from a problem dating back to March, this time with a groin issue.

Billy Bingham (shin), Christian Doidge (foot) and Zavon Hines (knee) remain long-term absentees.
