Scunthorpe vs Coventry preview - Double doubt for Iron

Neal Bishop and Eddie Nolan are again rated major doubts for Scunthorpe's home clash with Coventry after the duo missed Saturday's Sky Bet League One loss at Chesterfield through injury.

Russell Wilcox told Iron Player: "Bish has a sore foot, his kicking foot. He did some running on the pitch before the game, he is okay with that, but he has had no ball contact so he has to be a major doubt for Tuesday.

"Eddie Nolan's got discomfort again in his hamstring, so he will also be a major doubt. You would like to make changes when things aren't going well, but my hands are tied a bit on that side of things."

Wilcox also continues to be without long-term injury victims Dave Syers, David Mirfin, Deon Burton, James Severn and captain Sam Slocombe.

Josh McQuoid is a major doubt for Coventry after suffering concussion in their win over Yeovil on Saturday.

The striker could miss the trip to Glanford Park along with Ipswich loanee Frank Nouble, who has sustained a groin injury.

Boss Steven Pressley told the club's official site: "I like consistency in my selection and I think that is important but there might be one or two changes for the midweek game.

"I'll assess my team today (Monday) and make my decision based around that. There is a lot of momentum in the camp at the moment so it's important we keep that going."
