Stirling Albion 0 : 5 Brechin City - Brechin continue fine start
Posted Sunday, September 14, 2014 by PA
Braces from Andy Jackson and Alan Trouten helped Brechin consolidate their unbeaten start with a crushing 5-0 victory at Stirling.
They went in front early on when Callum Tapping made a foray down the left, and dinked a smart cross to the right post for Jackson to angle the simplest of headers over Callum Reidford.
Jackson then smashed a shot into the top-left corner from outside the box as the Binos began to flounder.
Six-goal man Gordon Smith was frustrated by the visitors' defence, and his day went from bad to worse when he fouled Trouten in the box. The same player converted from the penalty spot.
Bobby Barr netted a fourth from close range after connecting with Trouten's excellent pass, and the provider then scored his second from Jamie Masson's clever assist.
