The Ukraine’s biggest club have had their business disrupted by the fighting in the country with their training ground being hit as recently as Saturday by heavy shelling.
Shakhtar Donetsk have reported on their official website that their club headquarters is now occupied by armed men
Previously, a group of the club’s players had refused to return to the country after playing a friendly against Lyon in France. They said they were taking the stand because they had to think of the welfare of their families.
