CSKA Moscow will have empty stadium for Champions League match against Bayern Munich

CSKA Moscow is facing a stadium ban dating back to last season.
Bayern Munich's first away match of the 2014-15 Champions League will be over in Russia when they face CSKA Moscow. Traveling to Russia is never an easy trip, but just like last season, FC Bayern's trip will be a little bit easier.
In the last group stage match of last season's Champions League, CSKA Moscow fans unfurled racist and extreme right wing symbols in their away match with Viktoria Plzen. Since they already had a partial stadium ban against Bayern in that competition, UEFA handed them a full stadium ban (and a €50,000 fine) that would take affect in their next Champions League match.
That match just so happens to be when Bayern Munich visit the Russian capital on September 30. It appears that Bayern have caught a couple of breaks with the visit to CSKA this year. They not only get the benefit of going to Russia before the bad, winter conditions really begin, but they also won't have to deal with any home fans when they're there.
