Cowdenbeath 1 : 3 Raith Rovers - Rovers pile on the woe
Posted Sunday, August 31, 2014 by PA
Cowdenbeath's miserable week continued as they lost 3-1 to Raith Rovers.
The Blue Brazil, pummelled 3-0 by Alloa last weekend and dumped out of the Scottish League Cup on penalties by Falkirk in midweek, fell behind after half an hour.
Striker Mark Stewart bagged his first of the campaign, smashing home Ryan Conroy's pass into the top corner.
Rovers finished the game off with two quickfire goals in the second half. Lewis Vaughan headed home Stewart's pinpoint cross before a Conroy free-kick, his third goal of the season, made the game safe.
A late 25-yard screamer from Lewis Milne was only a consolation for the home side.
