Stenhousemuir vs Ayr Utd. preview - Warriors facing keeper dilemma

Stenhousemuir will be without goalkeeper Chris Smith who has a knee injury when league leaders Ayr arrive at Ochilview.

Manager Scott Booth is hoping to add two new loan signings ahead of kick-off but is playing his cards close to his chest.

"The deals have been discussed and the paperwork drawn up but the players are not signed yet," he admitted.

"I am hoping to get them both done ahead of kick off and hopefully spring a surprise on Ayr."

Ayr player-manager Mark Roberts' only concern lies with the inclusion of Martyn Campbell as his side look for their fourth win of the season.

Roberts explained: "Martyn played against Kilmarnock in midweek on an artificial surface and this game is also on an artificial surface.

Two games in four days may just be too much after his knee injury last season.

"This will be a tight game but if the players show the spirit that they have been showing all season then I am sure that they will do okay."
