Glasgow Rangers vs Queen of South preview - Miller time for Rangers

Posted Friday, August 29, 2014 by PA

Rangers are boosted by the return of Kenny Miller for their Scottish Championship game against Queen of the South.

The forward is back in contention after he recovered from a hamstring injury that kept him out of the last few games.

Fraser Aird (knee) could also make the clash at Ibrox, but Richard Foster (calf) and goalkeeper Cammy Bell (shoulder) will remain on the sidelines.

Queen of the South have added Ian McShane to an already lengthy injury list after he suffered a groin problem in the game with Livingston in midweek.

Also out for the Doonhamers are Chris Mitchell (back), Mark Kerr (hamstring), Paul Burns (knee), Stephen McKenna (hip) and Michael Paton (hamstring) as well as the suspended James Fowler

Despite their depleted numbers manager Jim McIntyre is determined to be positive.

"We have made a good start to the league with seven points from nine. We know that Rangers are pretty free-scoring at the moment but we will go there with a game plan to win the game."
