Smith still not ready for Dons

Jack Smith is not yet ready to make a return for AFC Wimbledon at home to Stevenage.

The former Millwall defender is back in light training after a knee injury but will not be involved against Boro so Callum Kennedy will continue to deputise at left-back with 17-year-old Ben Harrison in the squad as cover.

Defender Andy Frampton remains on the sidelines with a broken ankle but the Dons have no new injury concerns.

Harry Pell and Kevin Sainte-Luce are pushing for starts after lively substitute cameos in the 2-1 defeat by Hartlepool last weekend.

Stevenage go into the trip with a depleted squad after suffering bad fortune with a number of their summer signings.

Harry Worley is expected to be sidelined for the rest of the season after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament, while Calvin Zola, Chris Beardsley and Dean Parrett have yet to feature.

Manager Graham Westley said of the Worley blow: "You hope you're not going to take too many big hits during the season and when one comes along it's hard, but everybody has to deal with it so there's no point griping about it."

Connor Calcutt picked up a knock in training after scoring in the recent draw at Plymouth, but at least defender Ronnie Henry is ready to return when required after a spell on the sidelines.
