Wolves could give George Saville a debut against Blackburn after he joined from Chelsea.
The midfielder penned a three-year deal, with the option of a fourth, at Molineux in a move worth around B#1m.
Tommy Rowe could make his first appearance in the squad after recovering from the broken toe he suffered during pre-season but winger Razak Boukari is out for a further three months after surgery on a hamstring injury.
Captain Sam Ricketts is still waiting for his first Sky Bet Championship appearance of the season after being kept on the bench by the in-form Matt Doherty.
Blackburn may include defender Matt Kilgallon in their squad as they bid to record a first clean sheet of the campaign.
The centre-back has been out with a back injury sustained in Rovers' first game but trained on Thursday and could provide competition for captain Grant Hanley and Alex Baptiste.
Rovers are still without full-back Tommy Spurr (groin) and summer-signing Chris Brown (knee).
Prolific striker Jordan Rhodes is expected to lead the line once more after Hull boss Steve Bruce this week admitted a potential deal for him was "dead and buried".
