Raith Rovers vs preview - Injuries hit Hearts
Posted Friday, August 22, 2014 by PA
Raith will be without Craig Barr and Dougie Hill when they host Hearts.
Barr has a knee injury while fellow central defender Hill is nursing a groin problem
Rovers manager Grant Murray said: "Going to Alloa and winning last weekend was really important as it was a really tricky game and we had to work hard to keep our clean sheet.
"Hearts have won against Rangers and Hibs so we know that we will have to work every bit as hard again to take anything from this game.
"We took Hearts to penalties in the League Cup last season so we are in with a chance."
Hearts are without seven players as they look to maintain their 100 per cent start to life in the Scottish Championship.
Scott Robinson, Osman Sow and Jamie Walker are suspended while goalkeepers Neil Alexander (broken cheekbone) and Scott Gallacher (ankle) are injured along with Callum Paterson (knee) and Dale Carrick (thigh).
"Raith are a good team and an experienced team. They've been in the league for a while and they know what they need to do so it's going to be a very difficult game," said Hearts head coach Robbie Neilson.
"We know that and we're preparing properly."
