Dunfermline are looking to include fit again defender Gregor Buchanan in their ranks when his former club Airdrie pitch up at East End Park.

Buchanan has missed the Pars' last two games due to an ankle problem however he underwent a full training session on Friday and will feature if there is no adverse reaction.

Andy Stirling misses out with an ankle injury and Ryan Wallace misses out with a groin problem with Alex Whittle a doubt with a knock.

Manager Jim Jefferies said: "Airdrie were the form team in the second half of last season however they are regrouping after losing a few players. They will be tough opponents."

Airdrie will look to pick up their first three points without Keighan Parker who is suspended after being sent off against Peterhead last weekend.

John Boyle is a doubt with a knee injury for a game that manager Gary Bollan reckons his Diamonds are second favourites in.

Bollan said: "We would always be underdogs against Dunfermline however we are probably huge underdogs now due the results we have had. We are actually playing not too badly and the game last week turned against is when Keighan was sent off so we are not far away from getting things right.

"If we play like we can we have a chance."
