Stevenage Borough vs Wycombe Wanderers preview - Worley worry for Stevenage
Posted Friday, August 22, 2014 by PA
Stevenage are expected to be without defender Harry Worley for the visit of Wycombe.
The 25-year-old limped off with injury just 15 minutes in to their weekend clash at Southend and manager Graham Westley fears he could be a long-term absentee.
Boro's summer signings Ronnie Henry and Calvin Zola will also be absent as they are yet to return to training after injury lay-offs.
Dean Parrett (anterior cruciate ligament) remains sidelined, while Chris Beardsley is nearing a return following a knee problem.
Wycombe midfielder Josh Scowen will be assessed in the build up to kick-off.
Scowen has been sidelined since picking up an ankle injury in a pre-season friendly against Barnet and he looks unlikely to start, but could make a welcome return to the first-team squad against Boro.
Fellow midfielder Stuart Lewis has also been struggling for fitness after injury but, having made the bench against Tranmere on Tuesday, he could find his way back into the starting line-up if Gareth Ainsworth decides to freshen up his side for the first time this season.
Centre-back Gary Doherty will definitely miss out once more for the Chairboys.
